The ongoing Timberline construction project in Benbrook is once again drawing complaints—this time over noise. Residents living near the site say loud music from construction crews has disrupted their days, with some working from home describing it as a constant distraction.
While residents acknowledge the crews’ hard work, many point the blame at developer Scott Sandlin and city oversight. Some have contacted city officials about enforcing existing noise ordinances, while others say the city’s requests for quieter work have had little effect.
The discussion among neighbors has also highlighted tensions over how to respond. Some residents say it’s an issue of respect and accountability, while others argue that noise is an unavoidable part of living near a construction site.
Despite differing opinions, most agree the real issue lies not with the workers, but with management and enforcement. As one resident put it, the frustration stems from feeling unheard and left to cope with the disruption on their own.
Residents can review Benbrook’s local noise ordinance or contact city officials through benbrook-tx.gov for more information on reporting disturbances.
