A Benbrook resident is asking the community for help locating a lost laptop, last seen at the Benbrook Library on September 18. While the device itself is more than a decade old, with a cracked screen and sluggish performance, it holds priceless family photos that cannot be replaced.
The owner has already checked with library staff but came up empty. In an effort to bring it home, a cash reward is being offered with no questions asked. The offer extends to anyone who picked it up with the intention of finding its rightful owner. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can even return the laptop directly to the library with a note containing Venmo details or other contact information to receive the reward.
For the owner, this is not about the value of the laptop, but about the memories stored inside. Community members are encouraged to spread the word and keep an eye out.
If you have information, you can send a private message to the owner through local channels or return the laptop to the Benbrook Library at benbrooklibrary.org.
Sometimes the smallest gestures, like returning a worn-out old computer, make the biggest difference to a neighbor in need.
