Lady Bobcats Soccer Roll to Second Straight Shutout, Take Early District Lead.

Fresh off a dominant district-opening win, the Benbrook Lady Bobcats wasted no time keeping the momentum going.

On a cool Friday afternoon road trip, the Lady Bobcats blanked the Southwest Lady Raiders 8-0, earning their second straight district shutout and tightening their grip on the early district race.

The match quickly tilted Benbrook’s way behind a sharp defensive effort and steady pressure in the attacking half. Sydney Chavez continued her strong run of form, recording a hat trick and setting the tone up front. Grace Klaerner added two goals, while Randee Slater, Olivia Zapata, and Lexi Garcia each found the net.

The scoring was backed by crisp ball movement and unselfish play. Chavez, Slater, and Eleanor Vazquez each picked up an assist, with Jessica Anzaldua contributing two more to round out a balanced team performance.

Chavez was named Benbrook Player of the Match following the win.

The victory lifts the Lady Bobcats to 7-3-1 overall and 2-0 in district play, good for first place at this point in the season. Just as impressive, the defense has yet to allow a goal in district action.

The challenge level rises next as Benbrook returns home to face the Western Hills Lady Cougars on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. Bobcat Nation is encouraged to come out and support a team that is clearly hitting its stride at the right time.
