Five years ago, Western Hills High School was showing off more than a renovated campus. It gave students, families, and the surrounding community a look at what the school could become.
A video from that time takes us back through the modernization of the longtime Fort Worth campus, with some familiar faces from that chapter of FWISD history, including then-Superintendent Dr. Kent Scribner, then-Principal Kelly Flores, and then-trustees Dr. Michael Ryan, Roxanne Martinez, and Quinton Phillips.
At the time, the new spaces represented a fresh start and an investment in the students who would eventually fill them.
Now, five years later, those students have come and gone. New classes have walked those halls, competed as Cougars, performed, learned, graduated and handed the campus to the classes behind them.
That may be the best part about looking back. What once felt like Western Hills High School’s new future has simply become part of everyday life at Western Hills, with plenty more students still to benefit from it.
Take a look back at Western Hills High School’s transformation.
