Benbrook residents will have two chances this weekend to stock up on Girl Scout cookies while supporting local scouts with big plans ahead. Girl Scout Troop 2716 will be in town selling cookies for $6 per box, with both cash and card accepted.
The troop will be set up at Ace Hardware on Saturday from 1 to 4 pm and at Tractor Supply on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Along with the classic favorites, Scouts are introducing a new cookie option called Exploremore, inspired by the flavors of rocky road.
For those who want to support the cause without taking cookies home, the troop is also offering the option to donate boxes to local first responders or members of the military. Proceeds help fund summer camp and upcoming trips, giving the girls meaningful experiences and opportunities through Girl Scouts of the USA.
It is an easy way to support local youth, treat yourself, or pay it forward, all during a regular weekend errand run.
