A new opportunity is on the way for girls’ soccer across Fort Worth, and Benbrook will be right in the middle of it.
Fort Worth ISD is rolling out its first Varsity Only Girls Tournament, set for January 7 through 9, bringing together top programs from across the district. Benbrook, along with Polytech and Western Hills, will serve as co-hosts for the three-day event.
All matches will be played on turf fields, with each team guaranteed three games, creating a competitive and consistent experience for players and coaches alike. The tournament is expected to highlight the growing strength of girls’ soccer across FWISD while giving teams an early-season opportunity to measure themselves.
Schools interested in participating can reach out to Amanda Cofer to be added to the list.
For Benbrook, hosting adds another layer of excitement. It puts local athletes on display and brings the community closer to the game, right at the start of the new year.
