A large law enforcement presence drew attention Wednesday afternoon near Benbrook Village Home Park, just south of Benbrook off U.S. 377 and Ben Day Murrin Road.
According to residents, sheriff’s deputies and EMS responded shortly after 2 p.m. to the newer section at the back of the mobile home community. Witnesses near the scene reported that a person was found deceased inside a vehicle.
Authorities taped off the area and remained on scene for several hours as investigators processed the location. One nearby resident said law enforcement was still present around 6 p.m. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible while authorities complete their work.
Officials have not released the identity of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the death. The investigation remains ongoing.
