Time is running out for residents who want their voices included in Fort Worth’s discussion over future data center development.
The 2871 Community Coalition is encouraging residents to submit written comments before the city’s deadline of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, regarding proposed zoning changes associated with Case ZC-26-087.
Comments received by the deadline will become part of the official public record reviewed by both the Fort Worth Zoning Commission and City Council before they vote on the proposal.
To make the process easier, the coalition has created a comment template that residents can personalize before sending it to the city. The template is available at 2871 Community Coalition’s action page. Again, written comments should reference Case ZC-26-087 and be emailed to by 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.
Those who wish to speak in person can attend the Fort Worth Zoning Commission meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail. A public workshop will precede the meeting, and speakers must complete a sign-up card before the meeting begins.
According to the 2871 Community Coalition, the upcoming decisions could shape how data centers are developed in Fort Worth for years to come.
