For most high school golfers, qualifying for the PGA National High School Invitational is a dream. This summer, Benbrook sisters Avery and Campbell Glanzer turned that dream into reality.

The duo traveled to the renowned Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina to compete in the prestigious, invitation-only tournament, which brings together many of the nation’s top high school golfers.

Tournament results indicate both sisters later withdrew from competition. No reason was announced. In golf, a withdrawal can occur for several reasons, including injury, illness, or a personal matter.

Regardless of the final scorecard, earning a spot in the national field is an accomplishment in itself and reflects years of dedication to the game.

Campbell now turns her attention to another season with the Benbrook Lady Bobcats, while Avery begins an exciting new chapter this fall as she continues her golf career with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros.

Congratulations to Avery and Campbell on representing Benbrook on one of high school golf’s biggest stages. We wish them both continued success in the seasons ahead.
