Chef Carlos Rodriguez, known to many as Senor Fuego, has been a beloved part of Benbrook’s food scene.
But since May 13, 2025, things have taken a hard turn. Three individuals assaulted him at his restaurant, leaving him with a serious knee fracture that requires surgery and a lengthy recovery.
Without health insurance, the Rodriguez family is now seeking help from the community. Every donation, no matter the size, will ease the burden as Chef Carlos works to heal and return to the kitchen. For years, they’ve poured their hearts into making Fuego Burger a welcoming place for all. Now, it’s time for the community to show up for them.
