In a true emergency, every second matters. That’s why the Benbrook Fire Department is reminding residents to check those overhanging tree limbs near streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
Low-hanging branches may not seem like a significant issue, but they can impede the progress of fire trucks and ambulances when time is critical.
Worse yet, they can damage emergency vehicles, which means delays for everyone and costly repairs. The city requests that residents keep tree limbs trimmed to at least 14 feet above ground, allowing service crews to pass through quickly and safely.
Being proactive now can make a real difference later. For questions or help understanding what’s required, residents can contact Chief Tate at 817-249-1727.
