Benbrook Library Kicks Off Summer Reading With a Full Week of Fun.

Summer reading season is officially underway, and the Benbrook Public Library is wasting no time filling the calendar with activities for readers of all ages.

The first week of the library’s “Unearth a Story” summer reading program features everything from storytimes and baby sign language classes to dinosaur-themed events, teen game time, book clubs, trivia, and even a special appearance by Paleo Maggie and her popular dinosaur program.

Families with young children can enjoy favorites like Move & Shake, Explore & Play, Book Babies, and Preschool Storytime, while older kids, teens, and adults will find opportunities to connect through games, crafts, reading discussions, and special evening events.

One highlight of the week is the library’s dinosaur-themed programming, including Dino Discovery Lab, Paleo Maggie’s presentations on Thursday, and the Dino Party on Friday morning. The library is also encouraging residents to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, where participants can earn prizes throughout the season.

With activities scheduled throughout the week, the library continues to offer one of Benbrook’s busiest and most family-friendly summer calendars.

Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes Street in Benbrook.
