Schools Weather the Storm at Drop-Off.

Principal Appreciation Month could not have picked a better morning to begin.

As heavy rain poured across the area Thursday, principals and their teams throughout the Western Hills and Benbrook pyramids were still outside doing what school leaders do, helping students get through drop-off and into school safely.

It was wet, messy and probably not how anyone wanted to start the day. But while families stayed dry inside their cars, school leaders were out in the downpour keeping things moving.

So, on the first day of Principal Appreciation Month, here’s a well-earned thank you to the principals and campus teams who started October soaked.

Talk about making a splash on Day One.
