Benbrook City Council to Tackle Finance, Street Repairs, and More At Next Meeting.

Benbrook residents are invited to attend the upcoming City Council meeting on Thursday, August 7, at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 911 Winscott Road. The evening agenda is packed with city business ranging from financial reports to street maintenance and utility billing agreements.

After reviewing the July 17 meeting minutes and considering citizen comments, the council will address a housekeeping item to correct an ordinance numbering error.

From there, City Manager Andy Wayman’s office will present a series of reports and proposals. The agenda includes a finance report for the quarter ending June 30, a look at the city’s investments, and a proposed ordinance to vacate and sell an unused stretch of Cozby West Street.

The council will also vote on two interlocal agreements with Benbrook Water Authority—one covering residential refuse and stormwater billing, and the other for street cut repair services.

Other items on the table include approving engineering services per state code and purchasing a new dump truck for city operations.

The meeting will wrap up with informal comments and updates from citizens, council members, and staff.

Everyone is welcome to attend. For full details, including agenda documents and previous meeting records, visit the City of Benbrook’s official site: www.benbrook-tx.gov.
