It is a big week for the Benbrook Middle-High School Bobcats, both on and off the field.
Today, September 4, game day festivities begin early as boosters arrive at the school by 4 p.m. to serve players ham and turkey sandwiches from Jimmy John’s. Parents and community members are invited to lend a hand or chaperone as the team gets fueled up and ready for kickoff.
Then, from September 5–7, the spotlight shifts to the Benbrook MHS Drumline as they host a car wash fundraiser at Caliber Car Wash, located at 9012 Benbrook Boulevard. A special push is planned for Saturday, September 6, between 8 a.m. and noon, when percussionists will be out drying cars, vacuuming, cleaning windows, and even playing a few beats while working for tips.
Customers can support the band all weekend long simply by mentioning “Band” or “Percussion” when purchasing a wash, with a portion of sales going directly back to the program.
It is a chance for the community to rally behind both the football team and the band in true Bobcat spirit.
