If you noticed the haze recently over near Skyline Ranch and Brookside, you weren’t imagining things.
A field under the large power lines was briefly on fire last Saturday evening.
A local resident out for a walk spotted the smoldering ground before it flared up. While the cause remains unknown, the Benbrook Fire Department responded quickly and had the flames under control in no time.
No injuries or property damage have been reported. More details may follow as updates become available.
