Down 13-0 at halftime, TCU needed a spark. What followed became one of the Horned Frogs’ most memorable comebacks of the season.
The latest episode of Carter Boys, TCU Football’s behind-the-scenes series, revisits the dramatic rally, beginning with a defensive effort led by Max Carroll. Even after a controversial penalty wiped out a potential interception return for a touchdown, the defense responded by forcing a field goal and keeping TCU within striking distance.
The comeback came down to the fourth quarter, when Jaden Craig connected with Jordan Dwyer on a crucial two-point conversion to secure the Horned Frogs’ first one-score victory of the season.
Head coach Sonny Dykes described the win as one of the proudest moments of his coaching career.
Season 5, Episode 8, titled Comeback in the Carter, takes fans behind the scenes of a game that looked headed for disappointment before the Horned Frogs turned it around.
