Westpark Plans Neighborhood-Wide Garage Sale.

One person’s clutter could be another neighbor’s Saturday morning find.

Westpark residents are organizing a neighborhood-wide garage sale for Saturday, Oct. 3, giving families a chance to clear out closets, garages, and those boxes of things they have been meaning to sort through.

There is no cost to participate. Organizers will create a community map showing participating homes and promote the sale in local community groups to help bring shoppers into Westpark. Signs and Garage Sale Success Kits will also be provided.

The idea is simple: the more Westpark homes that join, the more worthwhile the trip becomes for bargain hunters and the better the opportunity for neighbors to turn unwanted items into a little extra cash.

So if the garage is getting tight or the kids have outgrown half the house, Oct. 3 might be a good reason to finally let some of it go.
