Western Hills Advocates Call for Greater Transparency in Leadership Decisions.

Questions surrounding leadership at Western Hills High School continue to draw attention from students, families, and community advocates.

In a public statement, Christopher Robertson of CR & Associates Youth & Community Advocacy Firm expressed concerns over what it describes as a lack of communication and transparency regarding recent leadership changes at the Fort Worth ISD campus.

According to the organization, families and staff were informed that a new principal had been selected for Western Hills High School, only to later learn that the individual had been removed from the position and reassigned. Advocates say few details have been shared with the school community since then.

The group also noted that while some campuses have participated in community engagement sessions and workshops focused on campus leadership and future planning, many Western Hills stakeholders feel they have not been given similar opportunities to provide input.

The concerns come at a time when the school is already navigating staffing changes, retirements, and employee departures. Advocates say students, teachers, and families are seeking stability and clearer communication as the campus prepares for the upcoming school year.

CR & Associates is urging district leaders to hold open forums, listening sessions, and stakeholder meetings to gather feedback from families, students, staff, alumni, and community partners.

“Western Hills is more than a building, it is a community,” the statement reads. “Our students are watching. Our families are paying attention. And our community deserves answers.”

As discussions continue, many in the Western Hills community are hoping for greater transparency and opportunities to be part of the conversation moving forward.
