Defending a state championship is never easy, but Benbrook Middle-High School senior Avery Glanzer is heading back with another opportunity to do exactly that.
The standout golfer and University of Texas Rio Grande Valley commit traveled to Kingsland this weekend to compete at the UIL State Golf Tournament at Legends Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
Glanzer returns as the defending state champion after last year’s title-winning performance and now enters the tournament carrying both experience and expectations into one of the biggest events of the high school golf season.
Her postseason run has continued to build excitement around Benbrook athletics, with classmates, coaches, and local supporters rallying behind one of the school’s top student-athletes.
As she tees it up once again on the state stage, Bobcat fans will be watching closely to see if another championship round is still ahead.
