Benbrook residents can take advantage of curbside Christmas tree pickup through Republic Services, which handles tree collection as part of regular brush and yard waste service.
Just place your tree at the curb by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, and it will be collected within 72 hours, typically around your regular pickup day.
Before setting it out, make sure the tree is immaculate. All lights, ornaments, tinsel, nails, stands, plastic bags, and decorations must be removed. Trees do not need to be cut into sections. Once collected, they are chipped and recycled into mulch rather than sent to a landfill.
Collection generally runs in early to mid-January, following the regular service schedule. The City of Benbrook posts exact dates and any holiday-related changes through CivicAlerts on the city website.
