Great granola has a way of telling a story, and this one starts with a holiday gift and grows into a local success you can now find right here in Benbrook.
Crunchy Girl Granola is the small batch brand created by Fort Worth entrepreneur Gina Propp, who turned a longtime family recipe into a thriving business after losing her job in 2019.
What began as jars of homemade granola shared with friends and neighbors quickly found a following at local farmers’ markets, starting with Clearfork and expanding across Tarrant County.
Today, Propp offers a rotating lineup of classic and seasonal blends, including gluten-free, nut-free, and sugar-free options. Some flavors even pay homage to Fort Worth, like the Trinity Trail Mix.
The business has grown steadily, now supported by a small team, while Propp remains hands-on and present at markets most weekends.
Benbrook residents can find Crunchy Girl Granola locally at Stone’s Throw Farm Co, making it easy to support a homegrown Texas brand without leaving town.
The granola is made with simple ingredients, thoughtful variations, and the kind of care that shows in every jar.
