Benbrook Begins Work on 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update.

As Benbrook prepares to chart its next five years of growth and development, the city is updating its Comprehensive Plan. This key policy guide shapes decisions on land use, parks, transportation, safety, and community character.

The Comprehensive Plan isn’t a law but a roadmap—a tool city leaders use to align daily decisions with long-term goals for residents, businesses, and neighborhoods. Updated every five years, the plan helps define what gets built, protected, and prioritized across Benbrook.

This upcoming cycle will revisit major topics, including floodplain developmentinfrastructure resilience, and economic growth, especially in light of lessons from recent projects such as Rowan Ranch.

City officials and candidates, including Ryan Reagan (Place 3), are encouraging residents to participate in shaping the city’s future by sharing input during upcoming public meetings.

An open house at Benbrook City Hall will be announced soon, where residents can review the draft plan and offer feedback before the final version heads to the City Council for a vote in February 2026.
