Technology is helping Benbrook residents see what words alone can’t always explain. Using artificial intelligence, neighbors in South Benbrook have been able to visualize what potential flooding could look like in their community.
Longtime resident Greg Clem recently shared updated images of Timberline Drive, comparing an older flood simulation with a new photo that better reflects the current landscape. The original image, once used to illustrate potential water levels in the area, no longer aligns with recent development and topographic changes.
By using AI-generated visuals alongside real-world photos, residents are gaining a clearer understanding of how rainfall and runoff could impact their neighborhood if adequate infrastructure improvements are not made. The comparison underscores growing local concerns about stormwater management and the importance of ongoing conversations with city officials and floodplain administrators.
Clem and other residents continue to use tools like these to raise awareness and encourage community involvement through the Save Trinity Estates initiative. For more information, visit savetrinityestates.org.
