A North Texas player is celebrating a $1 million win after purchasing a Powerball ticket at the 7-Eleven on White Settlement Road in Fort Worth, not far from Benbrook.
The July 12 ticket, claimed by the Lucky Dollar Trust of Granbury, matched all five white ball numbers but missed the red Powerball.
The winner chose to remain anonymous, but the prize highlights the growing excitement around Powerball, where jackpots start at $20 million and continue to climb until someone claims the top prize.
Drawings take place three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights.
