It’s almost soccer season in Benbrook, and the excitement is building. If you’ve got a little one between the ages of 3 and 6 who loves to run, kick, and play, now’s the perfect time to get them in the game.
The Benbrook Community Center YMCA is welcoming new players for its co-ed fall soccer league, which focuses on building confidence, coordination, and teamwork for Pre-K and Kindergarten children. The season officially kicks off on September 9, with key dates approaching quickly: a parent meeting on August 26, a coaches meeting on August 28, and registration closing on August 29. After that, late signups will include a $25 fee.
The cost for members is $110, while non-members can register for $170. Scholarships are available online for families needing a little help with the fees.
Are you unsure if your child is ready? Swing by the YMCA this Saturday during the Back to School Fair from 9 a.m. to noon, and let them join the free soccer clinic happening from 10 to 11 a.m. It’s a fun and easy way to meet the coaches, try the sport, and get a feel for the season ahead.
