Sunday afternoon in Benbrook looked and tasted a little sweeter than usual.
Alongside the monthly Farmers Market, local kids took part in National Lemonade Day, setting up stands across the event with homemade recipes, handmade signs, and plenty of determination. For many of the young entrepreneurs, it was more than just selling lemonade. It was a first taste of running a business, serving customers, and learning the value of hard work.
Long-time Benbrook resident Gary Addison described it simply as “Benbrook, a community of friends,” and the scene at the market backed that up.
Families stopped to support the students, neighbors lingered to chat, and kids proudly served cups of lemonade they helped create from start to finish.
From learning how to handle money to building confidence one customer at a time, the event gave young residents a chance to shine in a community eager to cheer them on.
Residents can catch the recap video and relive the day’s moments online.
