Many Benbrook residents want to ensure worn or tattered American flags are disposed of with respect. Fortunately, several local spots offer drop boxes where flags can be placed for proper disposal and retirement.
The Benbrook Public Library maintains a collection box, as do Pinnacle Bank and Ace Hardware. The Benbrook VFW & Auxiliary Post 10429 also has an outdoor box dedicated to flag retirement. In addition, American Legion posts and Scout Troop 95 are known to assist with proper handling.
