Western Hills High School is getting ready for a week that blends celebration, culture, and community as Black History Spirit Week returns February 2 through February 6.
Hosted by Student Council and Cheer, the week invites students and staff to honor Black history through daily themes that highlight pride, roots, and unity.
- The celebration begins Monday with Black Love, encouraging everyone to wear all black in support of unity and pride.
- Tuesdayโs Culture Day gives students space to represent their heritage through traditional or cultural attire.
- Wednesday brings TV Day, where favorite Black celebrities and TV icons take center stage through creative outfits.
- Thursday shifts to Family Reunion vibes, welcoming BBQ dads, football moms, and HBCU-inspired looks.
- The week wraps up on Friday with Unity Day, as red, yellow, and green fill the campus in a shared show of solidarity.
For the Western Hills High School community, the week is more than spirit days. It is a chance to learn, celebrate legacy, and come together in ways that reflect both history and hope.
Students are encouraged to plan ahead, show up fully, and help make the week meaningful and memorable for everyone.
