For Western Hills High School, the trip to Abilene ended with more than numbers on a board. It marked the close of a senior season built on steady work and a strong finish.
Josh Raga wrapped up his final year of powerlifting with the best meet of his career, placing 7th out of 22 lifters. His performance across all three lifts showed a 650-pound squat, 430-pound bench, and 540-pound deadlift.
The result reflects months of training and the kind of progress coaches hope to see from a senior leader. It also highlights the support behind the scenes, with Cougar Corner and Coach Moilan recognized for helping athletes reach moments like this.
For Western Hills, it is a proud finish to the season. For Raga, it is a strong way to close the chapter.
