Western Hills High School is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on Wednesday, September 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the ROTC Building at 3600 Boston Ave., Fort Worth.
Students, staff, and community members are encouraged to step up and donate. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with a signed parental consent form. Seniors who donate twice before graduation will also earn a red graduation cord as a recognition of their contribution.
As an added bonus, donors giving blood between now and September 21 will receive a limited-edition Red Cross x Peanuts T-shirt while supplies last.
Appointments are recommended and can be scheduled by visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering the code westernhillshs, or by scanning the QR code provided on event flyers.
For questions, students can stop by the JROTC room and speak with Sgt. Ayala.
Giving blood takes less than an hour, but the impact lasts a lifetime. This is a chance for Benbrook and Fort Worth residents to come together and make a difference in saving lives.
