Western Hills Cougars Powerlifting Team Sends Another to State!

BENBROOK, TX — The Western Hills Cougars powerlifting team is on fire, with yet another athlete punching a ticket to the State Championship!

After impressive performances from Kateline Reygadas and Abby Moilan, it’s now Kevin Cruz who’s state-bound. Cruz secured his spot this past weekend with a powerful display—crushing a 650-pound squat, 420-pound bench press, and 550-pound deadlift to finish 3rd overall.

Coach Bill Rock couldn’t contain his excitement, sharing the big news in an energetic post on social media. Cruz will head to Abilene for the State Championship on March 20th.
