The Cougar Cross Country team officially kicked off its 2025 season last Saturday at the Southwest Christian School Invitational, and the runners did not disappoint.
Leading the way was returning sophomore Victor Lewis, who powered through the course to secure a 7th-place finish. The team celebrated both new and returning athletes who gave it their all on race day, setting the tone for a season built on hard work and determination.
For students still considering joining, now is the perfect time. Cross country offers the chance to stay in shape, build endurance, and even complement another sport.
With both individual and team goals driving the season, there’s room for every runner ready to be part of the Cougar family.
