Waverly Park Teachers Spend Day Learning, Too.

Students had the day off, but the classrooms at Waverly Park Elementary were far from quiet.

Teachers spent the student holiday back in school themselves, using the day for professional development focused on Cowtown 12 implementation and training.

The staff worked together on instructional practices aimed at creating more consistent learning experiences across classrooms. For Waverly Park, it was also time for teachers to compare notes, plan, and prepare before students return.

Students can easily see what happens when their teachers stand at the front of the classroom. Days like this offer a look at some of the work that happens when the kids are not there.
