Just west of Benbrook, the Ventana community kicked off the holidays with an evening packed with Christmas fun.
From 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, families filled the amenity center for the neighborhood’s annual celebration, and the place quickly turned into a lively winter scene.
Kids bounced their way through Christmas and winter-themed inflatables, while a petting zoo — complete with a camel — drew steady crowds. Santa and Mrs. Claus posed for photos, and the Ventana Christmas train carried families on short, cheerful rides around the grounds. Hot cocoa flowed as the sun dipped, offering a warm pause between activities.
Shoppers also had the chance to browse local vendors selling handmade goods and holiday gifts, with on-site wrapping available for anyone hoping to leave ready for Christmas morning.
The night wrapped with a countdown and cheers as Ventana lit its towering 22-foot Christmas tree, marking the official start of the season for the community. Residents and visitors are welcome to stop by and snap a festive photo in front of the tree in the days ahead.
