Drivers traveling through Benbrook and western Tarrant County may want to plan for extra time following a traffic accident reported just after 8 am near the railroad tracks involving a Johnson Controls van and a Ford Bronco.
According to witnesses at the scene, the collision occurred as the van was reportedly turning left after crossing the tracks when it was struck by the Bronco. Police responded and were directing traffic as authorities began investigating the crash.
At the time of the report, one lane remained blocked, causing traffic delays in the area. No ambulances or tow trucks had arrived initially, though officers were actively managing traffic flow.
Motorists traveling toward Fort Worth, Aledo, or Weatherford may want to consider alternate routes, including Highway 377, until the scene is cleared.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and authorities continue to investigate.
