“The Chosen” Needs Local Extras for Season 6 Filming.

If you have ever dreamed of stepping onto a TV set, here is your chance. “The Chosen,” the hit biblical drama, is back in North Texas filming its sixth season, and producers are looking for locals to fill a few specific roles.

Filming is underway in Midlothian, with scenes set at Camp Hoblitzelle, the show’s go-to location since season three. Currently, Brock Allen Casting is seeking a female photo double for the actress portraying Young Mother Mary. Candidates should have a slim build, stand between 5’2” and 5’4”, and match the actress’s hair and skin tone. This role films on August 14 and pays $200 for a 12-hour day.

They are also casting male extras with beards and olive skin to portray “rabble members” on August 11 and 12. That role pays $100 for a 10-hour day.

Applications require basic personal details, clothing sizes, and two recent color photos. Interested residents should email thechosenbacasting@gmail.com using the subject line for the role they are applying for.

Season six will cover the Crucifixion, following last season’s depiction of Holy Week and the Last Supper. Seasons one through five are available to stream on Prime Video.
