Run for the V Returns to Benbrook.

For some veterans, the hardest battles do not end when their military service does.

That is part of why runners, walkers, and supporters will gather in Benbrook on Sunday, Sept. 20, for the annual Run for the V 5K, benefiting veterans and raising awareness of suicide prevention.

Hosted at VFW Benbrook Memorial Post 10429, 1000 Stevens Drive, the event welcomes participants to run, ruck or walk the 5K. Registration is currently $35 online and increases to $40 on race day.

Even if running is not your thing, neighbors can still come out to support participants and bid on items benefiting veterans.
