Residents Push Back on Sandlin Development Near Trinity Estates.

The conversation surrounding the Sandlin development, located across from Trinity Estates, is gaining traction, and residents are starting to organize.

After visiting the site, Ryan Reagan shared concerns about the impact and called for neighbors to take ownership of the effort. The Rowan Ranch fight showed how powerful a movement can become when those directly affected lead with firsthand knowledge.

This time, Reagan made it clear that while he will offer guidance, leadership needs to come from residents willing to coordinate, gather facts, and maintain the momentum. That means stepping up to create a dedicated public group, host meetings, and rally support.

Greg Clem, already active in opposing the project, confirmed that a Facebook page is being set up to centralize updates and calls to action. He emphasized the urgency, noting that the Letter of Map Revision tied to the development must be reviewed thoroughly by both the State of Texas and FEMA before any approval can move forward. Volunteers are needed to help spread the word, contact officials, and assist with upcoming meetings.

Residents who want to follow updates or get involved can connect through Greg Clem’s posts on Nextdoor and through the new Facebook page.

With a meeting in the works and information being shared daily, now is the time for Benbrook neighbors to step forward and make their voices heard.
