According to a report by Emily Holshouser of the Star-Telegram, Edged Data Centers has withdrawn its application for a tax incentive tied to a proposed $1 billion data center near Benbrook. The Fort Worth City Council had been set to consider the incentive on May 12 after a previous delay.

The move pauses an active conversation about growth and impact in the area. City leaders have been weighing how to support economic development while also addressing concerns from nearby neighborhoods.

Representatives for Edged were not immediately available for comment, leaving the project’s next steps unclear.
