The Benbrook Senior Center, located within Benbrook City Hall, has unveiled a comprehensive schedule of fall activities for October, catering to individuals who enjoy staying active, social, and connected.
Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the center remains a welcoming hub for games, community outings, and creative projects.
Regular weekly activities include Bridge, Canasta, Dominoes, Hand and Foot, and Mexican Train Dominoes, providing seniors with numerous opportunities to connect with friends.
This month’s highlights include a field trip to the Empowering Seniors Expo on October 2, Friday Night Bingo at City Hall on October 3, and a Halloween Rock Painting session on October 15. There’s also a field trip to Raising Cane’s on October 22, and a Picnic and Rock Sharing event to wrap up the month on October 29.
Other special events include Bingo and Cake with Senior Healthcare Advisor Maleah Ensey on October 1, a Cracker Barrel breakfast on October 15, and a Christmas card-making event for the military on October 8 with Cindy Wayland.
The center will be closed on October 13 in observance of Columbus Day.
