A new wall display inside the weight room at Western Hills High School is already drawing attention from students, coaches, and alumni alike.
Installed last week, the large collage blends together decades of Western Hills memories through photos of athletics, student life, school spirit, and Cougar traditions. Older images sit alongside more recent moments, creating a visual timeline of the school’s history beneath the message, “Tradition Never Graduates.”
Community members who saw the finished piece described it as far more impressive in person than photos can capture, especially with the level of detail packed throughout the display.
The project also became a community effort, with supporters contributing photos that helped bring the vision to life. Special recognition was given to Blake Moilan for designing and assembling the piece.
Now hanging in one of the school’s most active spaces, the display serves as a daily reminder that students are connected to generations of Cougars who came before them.
