New Coaches, New Energy at Western Hills.

Benbrook, heads up — Western Hills High School is gearing up for a fresh chapter in Cougar athletics.

Two new coaches are stepping into key roles this upcoming school year. Ryan Swinney, a familiar face already on campus, is taking over as Head Baseball Coach after two solid years with the school and nearly a decade in the game across Irving and HEB ISD.

Joining him is S’dney Goodman, the new PE teacher and Head Flag Football Coach. She arrives from Bryan ISD, bringing experience across volleyball, basketball, and track and field.

Western Hills is setting the stage for an exciting 2025-2026 season. These hires aren’t just about filling positions but about building momentum, culture, and Cougar pride.
