Benbrook neighbors are organizing around a simple ask. If you have been impacted by dust or flooding tied to the Trinity Estates work, file a complaint with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Resident Emily Moore filed today, and Greg Clem submitted last week. They say one complaint is not enough and that the issue affects the whole area.
Residents report dust blowing from large volumes of untested fill dirt placed in the floodplain, runoff reaching the Trinity River, and recurring street flooding. Some neighbors describe respiratory irritation during heavy dust days. They also say they have not seen local citations for dust control. Neighbors want state investigators to review the site, the material sources, and current mitigation measures.
- Send an email to complaint@tceq.texas.gov.
- Subject line: Environmental Complaint โ Benbrook Floodplain Dust Pollution.
- In the message, include your name, address, dates and times you observed dust or flooding, what you experienced, and where it occurred.
- Attach photos or short videos that show dust plumes, sediment on streets, pooling water, or property impacts.
- Ask TCEQ to investigate and share next steps for remediation and enforcement.

Neighbors believe a consistent paper trail helps regulators see patterns across the neighborhood. If you have been affected, file your complaint, keep your documentation, and share updates with your block so others know how to help.
