MVP Baseball and Softball has raised the bar for youth sports in North Texas by implementing comprehensive background checks for all coaches, directors, and administrators across its programs.
The screenings, conducted through both the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services and the Texas Department of Public Safety, ensure that everyone entrusted with young athletes meets the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
The move underscores MVP’s mission to create a safe, supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and compete with confidence. Beyond developing athletic skill, the program emphasizes building strong character, discipline, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
MVP Owner Michael Valdez says the step reflects the organization’s core commitment to protecting players and reinforcing trust with families.
With teams at every age level, MVP continues to be a leader in competitive youth baseball and softball while prioritizing the safety and well-being of its athletes.
