Friday morning, February 13, Benbrook Middle High School students received more than a typical lesson. They heard directly from Benbrook Mayor Jason Ward during the school’s weekly Charter Development session.
The focus was leadership, specifically the difference between leaders and influencers. Students were challenged to think beyond popularity or visibility and consider what it truly means to lead. The message centered on serving others, building people up, and making a lasting impact on the lives around them.
Moments like this matter. When local leaders step into classrooms, it reminds students that leadership is not just a title. It is responsibility, character, and action lived out in everyday life.
For the Bobcats, it was a powerful way to start the day and a meaningful investment in Benbrook’s future.
