Maverick Golf Community Brings Luxury Fairways Closer to Benbrook.

A new chapter in high-end living and golf has quietly teed off just west of Benbrook.

Maverick Golf & Ranch Club has opened its first course, a nine-hole par-3 layout known as the Pinkerton 9, giving an early glimpse into what is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious residential developments in North Texas.

The gated community sits off Aledo Road, northwest of Lake Benbrook, and spans roughly 1,100 acres with plans for about 500 luxury homesites. Lots are currently priced from around $1 million up to $4 million.

The project is being developed by Discovery Land Company in partnership with PMB Capital Investments.

Golf is at the heart of the vision. The courses are being designed by Tom Fazio, whose work is known for blending challenge with playability.

The newly opened par 3 course is designed to be approachable and fun, especially for families and shorter outings, while still rewarding skilled shot making.

An 18-hole championship course is expected to open in fall 2026, followed later by a 12-hole course.

Beyond golf, Maverick is positioning itself as a full lifestyle destination.

Planned amenities include a spa, clubhouse, fitness center, kids’ adventure center, family water park, hiking and biking trails, fishing areas, and outdoor sports fields. Dedicated practice facilities and teaching areas are also in the works for golfers of all skill levels.

For Benbrook residents watching growth move steadily west, Maverick represents another sign of how the area continues to attract major investment tied to outdoor living, recreation, and luxury development.
