Mackey Highlights Voter Registration, Early Voting Dates.

With Benbrook voters heading to the polls next month, Place 6 Councilmember Laura Mackey is asking residents for another term on the City Council.

Mackey, a longtime Benbrook resident and homeowner, was first elected to Place 6 in 2018 and is currently serving her fourth term, according to the City of Benbrook.

In announcing her re-election campaign, Mackey points to her council experience and involvement in economic development, public safety, schools, infrastructure and regional issues, along with previous PTA leadership.

She also encourages residents to research candidates before casting their ballots, citing resources including Ballotpedia, ActiVote and the League of Women Voters of Tarrant County.

Benbrook’s Nov. 3 election includes Council Places 2, 4 and 6. Councilmembers are elected at large, meaning Place 6 appears on the ballot for voters citywide rather than within a geographic district.

For those planning to vote, the deadline is approaching. The deadline to register for the Nov. 3 election is Monday, Oct. 5. Early voting runs Oct. 19 through Oct. 30, and applications to vote by mail must be received by Oct. 23.

Residents can check their Texas voter registration and find Tarrant County voting information and polling locations online.

More information about Mackey’s campaign is available on her re-election Facebook page.
