It is the kind of stretch every team hopes for, and few sustain. Right now, the Western Hills Lady Cougars softball team is doing just that.
Coming off another strong win, a 12-9 victory over Diamond Hill and an 18-8 showing against Southwest, the Lady Cougars are finding their rhythm at the right time. The offense is producing, the defense is making key stops, and the dugout energy is carrying from inning to inning.
This latest run has not happened by accident. It is built on steady contributions across the lineup and a few standout performances that helped tilt games in their favor.
Addison Dudley set the tone in the circle and at the plate, recording 30 strikeouts while also adding five hits, including two doubles.
Vivian Hernandez delivered in key moments with four hits, four RBIs, and six stolen bases, creating pressure every time she reached base.
Celeste Mendoza added another strong showing with four hits, seven RBIs, and three walks, helping keep innings alive and runs coming.
Beyond the numbers, it is the way this group plays together that stands out. Clean defense, timely hitting, and a clear sense of trust in one another continue to push the team forward.
For Benbrook fans, it is a fun ride to watch. And if this momentum holds, the Lady Cougars may just be getting started.
