Lady Cougars Crush Diamond Hill, Lock In 2nd Place in District.

Benbrook’s own Western Hills Lady Cougars came out swinging last Friday night, dominating the Diamond Hill Lady Eagles with a 9-3 victory that locked in second place in the district.

Fueled by sharp defense and a relentless offense, the Lady Cougars gave fans a game to remember. Taylor Torres stole the spotlight with a rare in-the-park home run, adding 2 RBIs, 2 put outs, and 3 assists. Daisy Daniels showed off her glove work with 7 put outs, while Samantha Chavez and Sophia Castellanos kept the momentum going with key hits and solid defense.

The win marks the third straight for the red-hot Lady Cougars, who are averaging 15 runs per game during their streak while holding opponents to just 2. With a 10-7 record, they’re set to take the field again tonight at 6 PM, hosting the Southwest Lady Raiders and looking to keep the streak alive.
